Lots of exciting changes are just right around the corner for SouthWest Improvement Council. We believe these changes will help energize our community center and will bring added benefits to the community of Westwood and all of our surrounding neighborhood communities. It all starts on August 2nd as we open the Westwood Community Center to the public on Saturday’s. Here’s a list of the changes come.
1.) The Westwood Community Center will now be open on Saturday’s starting on August 2nd. The Saturday hours will be from 9:00 – 5:00 p.m.
2.) Soon you will see a vibrant and updated website that will serve as the informational portal for our community. The new website will be launched very soon with an exact date T.B.A.. The updated website should be launched no later than August 31st.
3.) KIPP Denver Collegiate High School will begin the Volleyball season on September 2nd at Sandos Hall. We will have an updated informational page on all of the games and the scheduled times. Additionally, visiting teams will be able to access directions to Sandos Hall so that they can arrive in plenty of time for warm ups.
4.) Plenty of details are being worked out on other programs. Some ideas in the works include a family fun night, an updated curriculum on computer classes, a new rental counseling program through our office of housing counseling, and lots more. Stay tuned as all of our exiting ideas on paper come to life.
