As a reminder the April Neighborhood Council meeting will be held on April 9th, 2015 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at Eagle – Bear Hall. Musician Dick Weissman will be hand for some guitar and banjo music. We look forward to seeing you there.

SWIC Weekly Bulletin

- SouhWest Improvement Council will host the monthly Neighborhood Council meeting this Thursday, April 9th from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at Eagle-Bear Hall with the entrance on the north side of the Westwood Community Center located at 1000 S. Lowell Blvd.. Anyone interested in receiving updates from Councilman Lopez’s office and the District 4 Denver Police Department are encouraged to attend. Dinner and light refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given out at the end of the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!

As a reminder the next Neighborhood Council meeting will be held on Thursday, May 14th from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at Eagle-Bear.

Southwest Improvement Council and the Westwood Community Center will be closed on Monday, March 30th in recognition of Cesar Chavez Day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, March 31st.

SWIC is excited to announce our new mission statement which was recently approved by the SWIC Board of Directors in February.

Our Mission is to empower people, improve the quality of their lives, and advance human rights by tackling difficult community issues at little or no cost to the clients.

2015 FREE SEEDS & TRANSPLANTS APPLICATION

The Southwest Improvement Council (SWIC)has the applications for the 2015 free seeds and transplant application forms available. The deadline for the applications to be filled out and brought to the center is Friday January 30. Please come in to pick up an application or click on the link below for an application. As indicated on the application, the seeds will be ready for pick-up Wednesday, March 11th. Transplants will be ready in mid-May. If you have questions or need more information, call 303-934-2181.
