Thank you to all of the students and their familes at St. Mary’s Academy that participated in the food bank drive for Southwest Improvement Council. So many people are dependent on our Friday food bank and without your dedication to helping out our community all of this food wouldn’t possible. All of our food bank volunteers and shoppers are so appreciative of your generous donation. Great job kids!!
Thank you to everyone on the Aramark Team that took the time to participate in Aramark’s annual Global ABC Day. Your volunteer help created a spruced up Westwood Community Center and resulted in a Nature Reserve at SWIC that the community can be proud of. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks Aramark Team! Click on the Facebook icon on the top right of our webpage for lots of great pictures from this past Tuesday.
Southwest Improvement Council and the kids of Westwoood and southwest Denver would like to thank Mr. Billy Halax and his family for their generous school supply donation to SWIC. The kids loved their backpacks and one young man was so excited to see “so much stuff in them” in his words. Billy’s two grown children took the time out of their summer to go shopping for all of the school supplies and then deliver them to the community center for us. All of the kids were so appreciative of this endeavor . Thanks again to the Halax family, a true Colorado family showing the spirit of this beautiful state by bringing smiles to the children of their community.
