Southwest Improvement Council and the Westwood Community Center will be closed on Monday, March 30th in recognition of Cesar Chavez Day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, March 31st.
SWIC is excited to announce our new mission statement which was recently approved by the SWIC Board of Directors in February.
Our Mission is to empower people, improve the quality of their lives, and advance human rights by tackling difficult community issues at little or no cost to the clients.
As a reminder, after school snacks are available to Children age 18 and under who participate in an after school program at the Westwood Community Center, or who actively engage in an activity at the Denver Public Library – Westwood Branch. For more information call (303) 934-2181.
The Southwest Improvement Council (SWIC)has the applications for the 2015 free seeds and transplant application forms available. The deadline for the applications to be filled out and brought to the center is Friday January 30. Please come in to pick up an application or click on the link below for an application. As indicated on the application, the seeds will be ready for pick-up Wednesday, March 11th. Transplants will be ready in mid-May. If you have questions or need more information, call 303-934-2181.
