Interested in buying a home? Want to know more about down payment assistance, and the process it takes to become a home owner? Call SWIC’s HUD approved housing counselor today to register for the Homebuyer Education workshop. The class is free and will result in a certificate of attendance upon successfully completing the class.

The next two workshops are:

Saturday, September 9th at 9:00 a.m.  and Saturday, October 14th at 9:00 a.m. 

at Southwest Improvement Council, 1000 S. Lowell Blvd. Denver.

July Updates from SWIC

Please have a safe and fun 4th of July holiday from SWIC. Remember fireworks are illegal in Denver, but you can still see the professionals light up the sky. The Colorado Rockies, Colorado Rapids, and Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse all have outdoor shows at their venues following their games on the 4th.

4th of July Holiday Closures: 

Southwest Improvement Council will be closed for the 4th of July holiday from Saturday, July 1st – Tuesday, July 4th. We will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, July 5th.

PetAid Colorado Coming to Southwest Improvement Council

Do you have pets? Did you know pets also need annual exams and vaccine boosters. PetAid Colorado is hosting a FREE Wellness and Vaccine Clinic in Southwest Denver on June 17th, 2017.

Happy Easter Weekend from SWIC

Colorado is a beautiful place to celebrate Easter Weekend. Many Colorado families will celebrate Easter at Red Rocks with the free Easter Sunrise Service http://redrocksonline.com  ( Please click on link for more information). SWIC wishes you a very healthy and happy Easter Weekend, enjoy time with your friends and family and most important stay safe.

Cesar Chavez Day March 31st

Southwest Improvement Council will be closed on Friday, March 31st for Cesar Chavez Day.  We will resume normal business hours on Saturday, April 1st from 9:00 – 5:00 p.m.

  • Keep in mind that the City and County of Denver is observing Cesar Chavez Day on Monday, March 27th.

Food Bank Hours this week will take place on Thursday, March 30th from 8:00 – 10:30 a.m.
